The Role

As a Senior Engineer at Nextquestion, you'll join an exceptional engineering team to deliver our AI-powered governance platform. You'll work directly with the founding team to shape the product's future, implement new features, and build scalable infrastructure that serves the global funds management industry.

Location

We're based in Brisbane, Australia, with our initial focus on the Australian market before expanding globally. We're flexible on working arrangements - remote work is possible, though some in-person collaboration in Brisbane is preferred initially. Our primary focus is on product quality and development speed rather than rigid work structures.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of parts of the Nextquestion development lifecycle
• Iterate rapidly on features based on user feedback from fund managers and allocators
• Design and implement technical solutions that scale to serve thousands of funds globally
• Work closely with founders to translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Help establish engineering best practices and technical architecture
• Evaluate and incorporate the latest AI/LLM technologies where appropriate

Requirements

• Strong full-stack development experience with our tech stack: NextJS, Node.js, Postgres
• Experience with AWS cloud infrastructure and deployments
• Familiarity with AI / LLM calling frameworks
• Demonstrated ownership mentality in previous roles or projects
• Passion for building products that solve real business problems
• Self-starter mentality with ability to work independently
• Attention to detail and testing your work
• Comfortable with ambiguity and rapidly changing priorities
